ABOUT iCIRT RATINGS
What is the iCIRT Rating?
The iCIRT rating is a market surveillance tool that is all about helping people find trustworthy building professionals and recognise business credibility in the construction sector.
iCIRT was crafted in collaboration with key stakeholders from the government, industry sectors, and the market to enhance trust in building professionals.
In short, it provides prospective customers and project partners with an independent “at-a-glance” star rating of the business assessed, looking at overall reliability and trustworthiness of your business and your projects, and the level of risk exposure for the client.
How the iCIRT star-based rating scale works, and what does it assess?
This system offers a star-based rating scale from 0 to 5, where more stars signify greater reliability in your building professionalism. To achieve a star rating, companies must successfully pass an intensive, independent evaluation to verify their competence, capacity, and commitment to delivering secure, compliant, and durable construction outcomes.
iCIRT integrates numerous data points from both public and private sectors to ascertain the reliability of building professionals and their projects. This data undergoes thorough analysis, scoring, and weighting based on six critical eligibility criteria:
- Capability
- Conduct
- Character
- Capacity
- Capital,
- and Counterparties.
A rating of three gold stars or above signifies a business as trustworthy, one that upholds its commitments and addresses problems proactively. Conversely, a lower star rating indicates higher risk or low-trust tendencies within the company or team.
Finding trustworthy building professionals and building business credibility in the Construction Sector.
iCIRT Rating Objective
Star ratings are designed to pinpoint building practitioners and project teams with a verifiable history of reliability, backed by concrete evidence of their ability to deliver sound and well-constructed buildings.
Although an iCIRT star rating is generated by a credit rating agency (Equifax Australasia Credit Ratings Pty Ltd (Equifax)), it should not be confused with a credit rating. The iCIRT rating system is not intended to offer financial product advice or recommend the purchase of any specific built asset, nor does it suggest entering into contracts or arrangements with any specific entities or project teams.
